Schools & Residence

Blyth Academy Florence: The School

The school will be located on beautiful via Jacopo Nardi.

Residence

Students will be accommodated in comfortable residences that are in close proximity to classrooms, public transit, and local shops. The residence will be located on the upper floor of the school building at 18 Via Jacopo Nardi. Living in residence during high school is great preparation for university student life.

Meals

Breakfast and dinner will be provided, leaving the opportunity to explore and purchase lunch locally. Students and staff eat together at breakfast and dinner. Typically, breakfast consists of a continental breakfast with a set number of choices. This may include a croissant, orange juice, cereal and yogurt. Typically, dinner consists of a buffet or plated meal. Most dietary restrictions can be accommodated.

Wellness and Safety

The students’ health, well-being and security is our primary concern. We encourage our students to participate in organized extracurricular activities and to use their free time in ways that strengthen their physical, mental and emotional health.

There is a Blyth Academy code of conduct that every student will be expected to review and sign prior to attending Blyth Florence. In order to create a safe learning and social environment for our students this program does not permit alcohol and drug use, bullying and the inappropriate use of social media. We use a progressive discipline approach with the intent of helping our students develop a sense of responsibility for their actions and to understand the impact of their choices on themselves and others.

As a result of our extensive travel education experience over the years, we can assure you we have put plans in place and experienced staff on-hand to effectively handle any crisis situation. A crisis could be any emergency, unplanned event or disaster that may impact our staff and students and force us to change how we operate Blyth Florence for any period of time.
